Salt Lake City

Air quality in western valley towns is degraded during persistent cold air pool events (PCAPs), which increases the risk for incidences of acute respiratory and cardiovascular health outcomes in sensitive individuals.

Study Objectives:

1.Identify the PCAP events that occurred during the study period, January 2007, over the Wasatch Front (Utah, USA).

2.Identify the greatest impacting sources during the PCAP events and estimate source impacts on PM2.5 concentrations.
