SCAPE

Southeastern Center for Air Pollution and Epidemiology 

 

The SCAPE Center was formed to determine the health endpoints associated with human exposure to air pollution. Please visit the SCAPE website for more information on this multi-disciplinary project conducted in conjuction with Emory University. 

 

Tasks include but are not limited to:

 

  • Modeling PM2.5 source impacts using the Community Multi-scale Air Quality (CMAQ) model 

  • Performing data assimilation techniques for improved source impact estimates

  • Using GIS to link fine-scale emissions to Atlanta roadways

  • Developing spatial interpolation routines in MATLAB for increased spatial resolution of air quality metrics
